The way I understand reality involves attempting to resolve the 'glitch' inherent in my world view. As such the creative expressions manifest in sculpture and design are responses to this schism. I am primarily a kinesthetic and visual person.<br><br>I have worked with wood since 1990, designing and making furniture through to sculpture. An apprenticeship in Furniture Making has allowed for expansion from a base of traditional understanding.<br>Sand as a medium for quickly rendering curves and shapes has been among the many materials I now use since working in Dubai in 2006.<br><br>I am open to discussing a project on a commission basis.<br><br>Adam Burstall

I am a Southern California based multi-media artist and designer. My greatest goal is to collaborate with art departments around the world to create windows into time and space. I was raised in the desert town of Palm Springs, California by my awesome parents, an English teacher and an airline captain. As such, I spent much of my formative years traveling the globe, experiencing different cultures, and exploring their histories.<br><br>At San Diego State University I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Theater, Television and Film with an emphasis on Set Design. During that time I also spent one incredible year living in Florence, Italy, studying Film and Art. I have worked on many student films in San Diego throughout college. I have professionally worked on multiple sets in the Los angeles area, ranging from low budget to high budget films, in various capacities. My main focus, however, has always been the art department and set design.<br><br>I spent the years 2011-2013 working on the remodeling project of a private residence. I designed and reconstructed a kitchen, den, great room, guest bedroom and bathroom. I also developed a concept to remodel the exterior grounds of the property. During that time I was working on a private art commission as well, including three large canvas paintings and three pieces of furniture: two hanging light fixtures and one coffee table. <br><br>My main focus has always been the art department and set design. I consider it an amazing achievement whenever I’m able to work alongside artists who are passionate about bringing the stories and environs of written characters to life.
